RETURNS/EXCHANGES

At Blair Ceramics, we take pride in the quality and consistency of every product we manufacture and ship. Because our products include professionally blended car wash chemicals, detergents, soaps, protectants, and treatment products, returns require additional review and handling to protect product integrity, employee safety, and transportation compliance.

Return and exchange eligibility depends on the reason for the request, the condition of the product, and how quickly the issue is reported.

Start a Return or Exchange

All return, exchange, damage, and product-quality requests must begin by completing our Return and Exchange Form.

Please do not ship, transport, or deliver any chemical product back to Blair Ceramics without written authorization and return instructions from our team.

Completing the form does not automatically guarantee approval. A Blair Ceramics representative will review the request and contact you with the appropriate resolution and next steps.

Reporting Windows

Damaged, Leaking, or Compromised Shipments

Damage, leaks, broken seals, punctured containers, or other shipping-related issues must be reported within 5 business days of delivery.

Please retain:

  • The affected product

  • The original container and cap

  • The shipping carton, pallet wrap, and packaging materials

  • The shipping label

  • Photos of the product, packaging, pallet, and visible damage

  •

Do not discard a damaged product or its packaging until Blair Ceramics confirms that it is no longer needed for inspection or carrier documentation.

When possible, note visible damage or shortages on the carrier’s delivery receipt before accepting the shipment.

Incorrect Products or Order Discrepancies

Incorrect products, incorrect sizes, missing items, or quantity discrepancies must be reported within 5 business days of delivery.

Blair Ceramics will review the order and shipping records before determining whether a replacement, correction, return, or account credit is appropriate.

Product Quality or Performance Concerns

Suspected product defects, unusual appearance, separation, odor concerns, unexpected performance, or other quality-related issues must be reported within 30 calendar days of delivery.

Customers may be asked to provide:

  • Product name and SKU

  • Lot or batch number

  • Photos or video

  • Date received and date opened

  • Storage conditions

  • Dilution or application settings

  • Equipment information

  • A description of the concern

  • A product sample, when requested

Our team may work with you to determine whether the concern is related to the product, storage conditions, dilution, application, water quality, equipment settings, or another operating factor.

Products should not be combined with another chemical, transferred into an unidentified container, or disposed of while a quality review is in progress.

Unopened Standard Products

A request to return an unopened standard-stock product must be submitted within 30 calendar days of delivery.

To be considered for return, the product must:

  • Be unused and unopened

  • Remain in its original Blair Ceramics container

  • Have the original label fully intact

  • Have an unbroken factory seal

  • Be free from contamination, damage, fading, freezing, excessive heat exposure, or improper storage

  • Be suitable for safe resale, as determined by Blair Ceramics

Approved discretionary returns may be subject to a restocking fee and return freight charges. Original shipping, freight, fuel, handling, and hazardous-material charges are generally nonrefundable.

Products That Cannot Be Returned

Unless Blair Ceramics confirms a manufacturing defect or shipping error, we generally cannot accept returns of:

  • Opened, used, partially used, or diluted products

  • Products with broken or removed seals

  • Products transferred into another container

  • Products with missing, altered, damaged, or unreadable labels

  • Products that have been mixed or contaminated

  • Products exposed to freezing, excessive heat, sunlight, moisture, or improper storage

  • Special-order, custom-blended, private-label, or made-to-order products

  • Discontinued or clearance products

  • Products purchased from a distributor or third-party seller

  • Products beyond the applicable reporting window

  • Products that cannot be safely or legally transported

  • Products returned without prior authorization

Custom-blended and private-label products are produced specifically for the purchasing customer and are not eligible for return due to excess inventory, ordering errors, preference changes, or reduced product usage.

Exchanges

Eligible unopened standard-stock products may be considered for exchange when the request is submitted within 30 calendar days of delivery.

Exchanges are subject to product availability, inspection, transportation requirements, and Blair Ceramics approval.

Any difference in product price, freight, handling, or applicable fees will be charged or credited as appropriate. Replacement products may not be shipped until the original product has been reviewed or received, unless Blair Ceramics authorizes another arrangement.

For damaged, defective, or incorrectly shipped products, Blair Ceramics may provide a direct replacement instead of requiring a traditional exchange.

Return Authorization Is Required

Every approved return will receive written instructions from Blair Ceramics. Depending on the product and situation, these instructions may include:

  • A Return Merchandise Authorization number

  • Approved carrier or freight arrangements

  • Packaging and labeling instructions

  • Pickup coordination

  • Required shipping documentation

  • Product isolation or disposal instructions

  • A request for photographs, lot information, or samples

Do not use a standard parcel-return label or independently arrange shipment of a chemical product. Some products may be regulated during transportation and require specific packaging, markings, documentation, carrier approval, or handling procedures.

Unauthorized returns may be refused and may not qualify for a refund, replacement, exchange, or credit.

Safe Handling of Damaged or Leaking Products

If a container is leaking or compromised:

  1. Keep people away from the affected area.

  2. Wear the personal protective equipment identified on the product label and Safety Data Sheet.

  3. Keep the product upright when it is safe to do so.

  4. Isolate the container in a compatible secondary containment area.

  5. Do not mix the spilled material with another chemical.

  6. Prevent the product from entering drains, soil, or waterways.

  7. Follow the product Safety Data Sheet and your facility’s spill-response procedures.

  8. Complete the Return and Exchange Form as soon as the situation is safely controlled.

For a significant spill, exposure, fire, reaction, or immediate danger, contact emergency responders and follow the emergency guidance provided in the product’s Safety Data Sheet.

Do not place a leaking container into a parcel box or attempt to ship it without specific instructions from Blair Ceramics.

Refunds, Credits, and Replacements

After reviewing the request, Blair Ceramics may approve one of the following resolutions:

  • Replacement product

  • Exchange

  • Account credit

  • Refund to the original payment method

  • Partial credit

  • Technical troubleshooting or corrective-use guidance

  • Authorized disposal without a physical return

  • Denial of the request when the product does not meet the policy requirements

Approved products returned to Blair Ceramics may be inspected before a final refund or credit is issued.

Refunds and credits apply only to the approved product and quantity. Original freight, expedited shipping, fuel surcharges, handling charges, special-order expenses, and other transportation costs are nonrefundable unless the issue resulted from a confirmed Blair Ceramics error.

Any refund processing time may vary depending on the original payment method and financial institution.

Customer Ordering Errors

Customers are responsible for reviewing product names, sizes, quantities, application requirements, and shipping information before placing an order.

When Blair Ceramics approves a return caused by a customer ordering error, the customer may be responsible for:

  • Original shipping charges

  • Return freight

  • Replacement-product freight

  • Restocking fees

  • Special handling or compliant transportation costs

Orders for custom, special-order, or private-label products cannot be canceled once production or procurement has begun unless Blair Ceramics agrees otherwise in writing.

Products Purchased Through a Distributor

Products purchased through an authorized distributor or another third-party seller should generally be returned through the original place of purchase.

Blair Ceramics may assist with product-quality investigations, technical questions, or lot identification, but refunds and exchanges are normally administered by the company that processed the original transaction.

Need Help Before Submitting?

Please have your Blair Ceramics order number, product name, SKU, container size, lot number, and supporting photos available before beginning the form.

Providing complete information helps our team evaluate the issue and respond with the safest and most appropriate resolution.
